Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SL Painting's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use our painting services, whether residential or commercial.

Services Offered

SL Painting provides professional painting services in Western Massachusetts, including but not limited to:

• Interior painting (walls, ceilings, trim)
• Exterior painting (siding, trim, shutters)
• Cabinet refinishing and painting
• Deck and fence staining
• Power washing services
• Color consultation

All services are subject to availability and our service area limitations. We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

Estimates and Pricing

Free Estimates

We provide free, no-obligation estimates for all potential projects. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided unless otherwise specified.

Quote Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate estimates based on the information available at the time of inspection. Final pricing may vary if:

• Additional work or repairs are discovered during the project
• You request changes to the original scope of work
• Unforeseen circumstances affect the project timeline or materials
• Access to work areas differs from what was assessed during the estimate

Any changes to pricing will be communicated and approved before proceeding with the additional work.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be outlined in your written quote. Typically:

• Deposit may be required for larger projects
• Payment is due upon completion unless other arrangements are made
• We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
• Late payments may incur additional fees

Service Area and Travel

We primarily serve Western Massachusetts, with our base in Springfield, MA. We offer free arrival within a 10-mile radius of our base location. Projects outside this radius may incur a travel fee, which will be disclosed upfront in your estimate.

We serve 11 communities across the region, including Springfield Metro, Eastern Hampden County, and the Westover AFB Military Community. Visit our Service Areas page for the complete list.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Scheduling

Project start dates are estimated based on weather conditions, current project schedule, and material availability. We will make every effort to begin work on the agreed date.

Weather Delays

Exterior painting projects are weather-dependent. We reserve the right to postpone work due to rain, extreme temperatures, or other unsuitable weather conditions to ensure quality results.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule:

• Notice of 48 hours or more: Full refund of any deposit
• Notice of less than 48 hours: Deposit may be forfeited
• Once work has begun: Charges apply for work completed and materials purchased

Client Responsibilities

To ensure a successful project, clients are responsible for:

• Providing clear access to all work areas
• Removing or protecting personal items and furniture
• Informing us of any hazards (asbestos, lead paint, structural issues)
• Ensuring pets are secured during work hours
• Providing electricity and water access if needed
• Notifying us of any changes to access or scheduling at least 24 hours in advance

Warranty and Guarantees

Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our work and offer a workmanship warranty on all completed projects. The specific warranty period will be outlined in your service agreement.

Material Warranties

Paint and materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. We will provide information about these warranties upon request.

Warranty Exclusions

Our warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by accidents, abuse, or neglect
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage from environmental factors beyond our control
• Issues arising from structural problems with the building
• Work performed by others after our completion

Liability and Insurance

SL Painting is fully licensed and insured. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance to protect both our team and our clients.

While we take every precaution to protect your property, we are not liable for:

• Pre-existing damage not identified during the initial inspection
• Items not properly secured or moved as requested
• Damage to plants or landscaping due to normal work activities (we make reasonable efforts to protect these)
• Color matching to existing aged or faded paint

Website Use and Content

Intellectual Property

All content on slpainting.co, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of SL Painting and protected by copyright laws.

Use Restrictions

You may not:

• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission
• Use our website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with the website's functionality
• Use automated systems to access the website without permission

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SL Painting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services or inability to use our services.

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

Promotional Offers & Discounts

General Promotional Terms

SL Painting may offer promotional discounts, special pricing, or limited-time offers from time to time. All promotional offers are subject to the following terms:

• Promotional offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions unless explicitly stated
• Discounts apply to labor costs only unless otherwise specified; materials are billed separately
• All promotional offers are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at any time
• Specific terms and conditions apply to each promotional offer and will be provided at the time of quote
• Promotional pricing must be mentioned at the time of initial quote request

Military Discount Program

SL Painting is proud to offer special pricing to honor those who serve our country. Our Military Discount Program is available to:

• Active duty military personnel (all branches)
• Veterans with honorable discharge
• Military retirees
• Reserve and National Guard members
• Immediate family members of qualifying service members

Military Discount Terms:

• Valid military ID, VA card, or DD-214 required for verification at time of service
• Special pricing determined at time of quote based on project scope and requirements
• Cannot be combined with other promotional offers or discounts
• Available for all residential and commercial projects within our service area
• Military status must be disclosed at the time of initial quote request
• SL Painting reserves the right to verify military status through appropriate documentation

Dispute Resolution

We strive for complete customer satisfaction. If you have concerns about our service:

• Contact us immediately to discuss the issue
• We will work in good faith to resolve any problems
• If necessary, we may arrange for an independent inspection

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
